Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It´s my great pleasure to welcome you to the Annual Meeting of the “Swiss Society for the study of morbid obesity and metabolic diseases (SMOB)” in Bern on the 17th of November 2023. For the first time, we will meet at the EXPO in Bern and already for the third time, the meeting will be part of a joint meeting together with our friends and colleagues from the SGED-SSED and ASEMO.
For this, the SMOB Board has designed an excellent interprofessional program to attract not only bariatric-metabolic surgeons, but also endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, nutrionists, psychologists, basic and clinical researchers in the field of obesity, as well as allied health specialists.
I am sure that you will gain several benefits from your participation in the meeting not only from a clinical and scientific point of view, but also by meeting old friends and new colleagues from all over Switzerland.
As president of our society, it is thus my great honor and pleasure to welcome all of you to a productive and fruitful meeting in Bern!
